Current mood: pensive.
Current music:"Don't Stop Believin'" ~ Glee cast.

This week has sucked eggs, but it's going to get better, even if I have to spend a long weekend at my parents'.

Plans for October Study Days
1. Annex parents' kitchen table for use as study space.
2. Read the Old Testament prophets (and the Book of Enoch) and making my parents wonder what on earth has possessed me to study the Bible. Read JSTOR articles I've spent the past two hours downloading? ...Maybe. The JSTOR articles, I'm allowed to procrastinate on, since I don't have conference until week after next. Yay! (This is my collection of articles. All things considered, I'm probably not done scouring JSTOR for more of them.)
3. Catch up everywhere. Really, this starts tomorrow.
4. Finally app Caradoc for [info]91mod. I deserve that app-writing.
5. Writing exercises for Lucy: escapes, nonsense words, something involving a list.
6. NaNo planning? NaNo planning!
7. Catch up in Aeneid reading (being woefully behind is compensated for by having translated it [badly] in high school. Apparently, I can still discuss it intelligently). Beat Glenn's 53-page article on "Shekhinah, the Virgin Mary, and the Song of Songs" to death with a stick.
8. Grandma's birthday brunch on Sunday. Orthodontist on Monday (followed by going to my literature studies mentor from high school and telling her about the research assistant jazz)! Maybe taking bb cousins to see Where The Wild Things Are?
9. Back to school on Tuesday. Maybe I will waste time in Grand Central before getting the train back to Bronxville. Maybe.

Tomorrow: Finish packing (as necessary, which, hopefully, will consist of, "Put hairbrush, toothbrush, toothpaste, and laptop into suitcase. Remember sneakers."), read for Glenn, RP!, get to airport by 4:30, more reading for Glenn (since Laguardia is Internet-less), apping? (hopefully), if I could finish the Arthur Green article today, it would be awesome but unnecessary, go to Target if at all possible.

Saturday: reread and re-note on: Moses's prophecy, Elijah & other prophets in the 1st & 2nd Kings, Jeremiah, Lamentations, Ezekiel, Isaiah, Jonah, Amos, Hosea.
* Lucy exercises: at least escapes, since it's already started. Lists, if I feel like it, since the prophets are good at those.
* apparently, we're having dinner at some new Japanese place near the house. Neato.
* a CM log involving Hestia, Barty, and Sev needs to happen sometime today?
* apping!

Sunday: Grandma's birthday brunch. Bring Virgil. Try to hide mild contempt of my closest-in-age cousins and their ridiculously poor decision making.
* Prophets: Daniel, Joel, Ruth, Obadiah, Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Zephaniah, Haggai, Zechariah. Really, Daniel and Ruth are the most necessary of these — Daniel because he's the apocalyptic OT prophet and is, thus, special, and Ruth… mostly because I like her. The others will probably be skimmed/read less closely, depending on what I'm getting out of them and how useful it is to my conference work.
* apping!
* Where the Wild Things Are?

Monday: Orthodontist at 9:30 AM. Be still, my beating heart. Bring Essential Papers on the Kabbalah, which, sadly, will not read itself.
* visit Roeper. See Em, Dan, & MKG, others optional. Share the fact that my personal life leaves a bit to be desired, but at least I'm making something out of the educational foundation they gave me.
* Where the Wild Things Are? — call Kelly. Discuss.
* Get Thai food to put in checked bag and take back to New York. Yum.

Tuesday: 10:30 flight to LGA. Cab to Grand Central. Dork around. Take train back to school. Cab back to campus. Enjoy not having class. Healthy balance of work and RP.

Throughout: Remember what Bill said about how having an academic challenge in Glenn's class is good for me and try not to get down on myself about it.
